Full Moon in Aries, 15 October: your 10th house
The Full Moon is exact at 13:47 UTC on Friday 15 October, with the Moon at 21°58′ Aries and the Sun opposite in Libra. For Cancer the Moon lights your 10th house, the house of career and reputation, while the Sun stands across in your 4th.
Astrologers treat the Full Moon as the month’s high tide; in October the tide rises in your 10th house, the place the tradition calls the Midheaven, and it shows where your career stands, and whether the climb still leads where you meant it to. In your 10th house this October, Aries lends it courage and haste in equal measure. Read as an axis, from your 10th house to your 4th, this October Full Moon runs along the axis of home and career: the private root and the public branch of a life.
If you want something to do with this October lunation, decide one thing you will stop doing because it no longer serves your calling.
Beyond the Sun sign
Your Sun sign is only part of 2027
A Cancer forecast reads the year by your Sun sign alone. The Road of Ages reads the turning points of your whole life from your own birth date, and shows where you stand on it now.
See the year on your own RoadNew Moon in Scorpio, 29 October: your 5th house
The New Moon is exact at 13:37 UTC on Friday 29 October, at 5°54′ Scorpio. Counted by whole signs from Cancer, Scorpio is your 5th house, the house of romance, creativity and children.
Astrology reads the New Moon as the time to start small and mean it, and in October the small start belongs to your 5th house, Good Fortune: an intention about play, art or love that you would be shy to say out loud. For Cancer this October, Scorpio, fixed water ruled by Mars in the old books, gives it an intense and private manner.
One way for Cancer to meet it in October: plan one evening purely for enjoyment, and protect it like an appointment.
Planets changing sign or direction in October
Mercury stations retrograde in Scorpio, your 5th house, appearing to stand still and then move backward through the zodiac for 21 days, until 28 October. The turn comes on 7 October, at 4°55′ Scorpio, and Mercury retrograde in your 5th house is read as old flames and old creative projects coming back for a second look.
Venus crosses into Scorpio on 8 October and so into your 5th house. Until 1 November, with the lesser benefic in the place she rejoices, the old books would call this a time for courtship, creativity and pleasure without guilt.
Mars enters Sagittarius on 15 October, your 6th house. Until 25 November, Mars in your 6th house is in its joy, the house of labor: the tradition reads a hard-working spell, strong for effort and hard on rest.
Mercury, moving retrograde, slips back into Libra on 16 October, returning to your 4th house until 10 November, a house it passed through before it turned. What it touched there in home, and family and roots is read as coming back for a second look before Mercury moves on.
Pluto turns direct in Aquarius, your 8th house, a slow turn spread over several days. The turn comes around 18 October, at 4°44′ Aquarius, and since a slow planet’s turn is felt over weeks rather than on a day, the tradition would look for it in Cancer’s intimacy and trust, and taxes and insurance through October.
The Sun enters Scorpio, your 5th house, on 23 October at 15:33 UTC. Until 22 November, with the Sun in your house of joy, the tradition reads a month to take your own pleasure seriously and to make something.
Mercury turns direct in Libra, in your 4th house: the backward loop that began on 7 October ends, and plans that stalled can move again, a little slowly at first. The turn comes on 28 October, at 19°18′ Libra. For Cancer what was under review in home, and family and roots can begin to move after 28 October, though the tradition counsels a few more days before signing or launching anything large.
Love, work and money for Cancer in October
Venus begins October in Libra, your 4th house, and enters Scorpio, your 5th, on 8 October, turning affection toward romance, dating, courtship and the play that keeps love from going stale. The New Moon on 29 October falls in your 5th, the house of romance, creativity and children.
Mars, the planet of effort, moves from Scorpio, your 5th, into Sagittarius (your 6th) on 15 October, so the drive of the month shifts toward the daily job, colleagues, workload and routine, most directly of all the houses. The Full Moon on 15 October lands in your 10th, a house the tradition gives to career.
For money, no lunation or fast planet changes in your 2nd house (Leo) or your 8th (Aquarius) in October, so the tradition would put the month’s weight elsewhere and leave Cancer’s budgets to ordinary prudence.
