New Moon in Leo, 2 August: your 10th house, total solar eclipse
The New Moon is exact at 10:05 UTC on Monday 2 August, at 9°54′ Leo. Counted by whole signs from Scorpio, Leo is your 10th house, the house of career and reputation.
At a New Moon the Sun and the Moon stand together, and the old almanacs marked the turn of the month for planting; this August the planting is in your 10th house, the Midheaven, where the tradition looks for a seed of ambition, planted where other people can eventually see it. Set in your 10th house, the August lunation takes its tone from its sign: Leo lends it warmth, courage and a little theater.
This New Moon is also a solar eclipse, a New Moon so close to the Moon’s nodes that the Moon covers the Sun for part of the Earth, and for Scorpio it falls in the 10th house. NASA classes it as total; for Scorpio its greatest moment, at 10:07 UTC at 9°55′ Leo, is the one the tradition counts, and on the central line totality lasts up to 6 minutes 23 seconds. An eclipse on the Midheaven is read as a turning in vocation: a new role, a change of direction or a public moment that alters your standing. Read the total solar eclipse for Scorpio in full.

Beyond the Sun sign
Your Sun sign is only part of 2027
A Scorpio forecast reads the year by your Sun sign alone. The Road of Ages reads the turning points of your whole life from your own birth date, and shows where you stand on it now.
See the year on your own RoadFull Moon in Aquarius, 17 August: your 4th house, penumbral lunar eclipse
The Full Moon is exact at 07:29 UTC on Tuesday 17 August, with the Moon at 24°11′ Aquarius and the Sun opposite in Leo. For Scorpio the Moon lights your 4th house, the house of home, family and roots, while the Sun stands across in your 10th.
A Full Moon is read as an illumination, and the August Full Moon shines into your 4th house, the Subterranean, where it shows the private feelings you have been too busy to look at. For Scorpio this August, Aquarius makes the mood cool and forward-looking, concerned with the group and the future. Read as an axis, from your 4th house to your 10th, this August Full Moon runs along the axis of home and career: the private root and the public branch of a life.
Astronomically the August Full Moon is a penumbral lunar eclipse: the Moon crosses only the Earth’s faint outer shadow, a dimming many people never notice, here in your 4th house. NASA classes it as penumbral, greatest at 07:14 UTC with the Moon at 24°04′ Aquarius in Scorpio’s 4th house, a faint shading rather than a red Moon. With the Moon eclipsed at the root of the chart, the old counsel is to tend the home and the heart before the calendar.
One way for Scorpio to meet it in August: spend an evening at home with no screen and no plan.
New Moon in Virgo, 31 August: your 11th house
Tuesday 31 August brings the New Moon at 8°06′ Virgo, exact at 17:41 UTC, and for Scorpio it falls in the 11th house, the house of friends, hopes and community.
A New Moon is read as an opening rather than an event, so the August lunation is less a happening than an invitation in your 11th house, the Good Spirit: a new friendship, a group joined or a hope for the future written down at last. In your 11th house this August, Virgo lends it precision, modesty and service.
One way for Scorpio to meet it in August: contact a friend you have let drift, without apology or agenda.

Venus begins August in Leo, your 10th house, and enters Virgo, your 11th, on 20 August, turning affection toward friendship inside love, and the friends who become something more.
Mars stays in Libra all month, your 12th house, putting the month’s effort into work behind the scenes, research and anything done out of public view. The New Moon on 2 August lands in your 10th, a house the tradition gives to career.
For money, no lunation or fast planet changes in your 2nd house (Sagittarius) or your 8th (Gemini) in August, so the tradition would put the month’s weight elsewhere and leave Scorpio’s budgets to ordinary prudence.
