New Moon in Capricorn, 7 January: your 3rd house
The New Moon is exact at 20:25 UTC on Thursday 7 January, at 17°18′ Capricorn. Counted by whole signs from Scorpio, Capricorn is your 3rd house, the house of words, siblings and short journeys.
Astrologers treat the New Moon as the month’s quiet beginning; in January that beginning is made in your 3rd house, the place the Hellenistic astrologers called the Goddess, and it is read as a beginning in learning, the kind that starts with one honest question. In your 3rd house this January, Capricorn makes the mood disciplined and patient, more interested in results than in feelings.
One way for Scorpio to meet it in January: call the sibling, cousin or neighbor you keep meaning to call.
Beyond the Sun sign
Your Sun sign is only part of 2027
A Scorpio forecast reads the year by your Sun sign alone. The Road of Ages reads the turning points of your whole life from your own birth date, and shows where you stand on it now.
See the year on your own RoadFull Moon in Leo, 22 January: your 10th house
On Friday 22 January the Moon comes full at 2°14′ Leo, at 12:17 UTC, facing the Sun in Aquarius; for Scorpio it fills the 10th house, the house of career and reputation, from across the 4th.
Astrologers treat the Full Moon as the month’s high tide; in January the tide rises in your 10th house, the place the tradition calls the Midheaven, and it shows where your career stands, and whether the climb still leads where you meant it to. For Scorpio this January, Leo, fixed fire ruled by the Sun, gives it a warm and wholehearted manner that wants to be seen. Read as an axis, from your 10th house to your 4th, this January Full Moon runs along the axis of home and career: the private root and the public branch of a life.
One way for Scorpio to meet it in January: update the record of your work: a portfolio, a profile, a list of what you have done.
