Full Moon in Aries, 15 October: your 8th house
On Friday 15 October the Moon comes full at 21°58′ Aries, at 13:47 UTC, facing the Sun in Libra; for Virgo it fills the 8th house, the house of shared money, intimacy and deep change, from across the 2nd.
At a Full Moon the Moon faces the Sun across the sky, and this October it faces it from your 8th house, the Idle Place, lighting an insurance, tax or inheritance matter that wants attention now rather than later. Set in your 8th house, the October lunation takes its tone from its sign: Aries, the first sign, cardinal fire ruled by Mars, gives it the manner of a fresh start taken quickly. With the Sun across the chart in your 2nd house, the October Full Moon speaks along the axis of what is yours and what is shared: earnings and debts, possessions and trust.
A practice for the October Full Moon: let yourself grieve something you have been too busy to grieve.
Beyond the Sun sign
Your Sun sign is only part of 2027
A Virgo forecast reads the year by your Sun sign alone. The Road of Ages reads the turning points of your whole life from your own birth date, and shows where you stand on it now.
See the year on your own RoadNew Moon in Scorpio, 29 October: your 3rd house
The New Moon is exact at 13:37 UTC on Friday 29 October, at 5°54′ Scorpio. Counted by whole signs from Virgo, Scorpio is your 3rd house, the house of words, siblings and short journeys.
The tradition reads a New Moon as a seed rather than a harvest, and the October seed falls in your 3rd house, the Goddess of the old books: a fresh routine in the daily round: a new route, a new notebook, a new way of keeping in touch. For Virgo this October, Scorpio, fixed water ruled by Mars in the old books, gives it an intense and private manner.
If you want something to do with this October lunation, answer the message you have been avoiding, kindly and briefly.
Planets changing sign or direction in October
Mercury turns retrograde in Scorpio, your 3rd house: from the Earth it seems to halt and reverse, the start of one of its 3 backward loops this year, which ends on 28 October. The turn comes on 7 October, at 4°55′ Scorpio, and Mercury retrograde in your 3rd house, the house Mercury knows best, is read as the classic retrograde: misread messages, delayed journeys and conversations worth having again.
On 8 October Venus moves into Scorpio, which is your 3rd house. Until 1 November, Venus in your 3rd house sweetens your words: kind messages, warmer dealings with siblings and neighbors, and pleasure in small journeys.
Mars enters Sagittarius on 15 October, your 4th house. Until 25 November, with Mars at the root of your chart, the tradition reads a spell for working on the home and for keeping family arguments short.
Mercury, moving retrograde, slips back into Libra on 16 October, returning to your 2nd house until 10 November, a house it passed through before it turned. What it touched there in money you earn and possessions is read as coming back for a second look before Mercury moves on.
Pluto turns direct in Aquarius, your 6th house, a slow turn spread over several days. The turn comes around 18 October, at 4°44′ Aquarius, and since a slow planet’s turn is felt over weeks rather than on a day, the tradition would look for it in Virgo’s health routines and service through October.
On 23 October at 15:33 UTC the Sun crosses into Scorpio, which for Virgo is the 3rd house. Until 22 November, the Sun in your 3rd house makes a month for conversations, errands, siblings and short journeys.
Mercury stations direct in Libra, your 2nd house, and begins to move forward again, closing the loop it began on 7 October. The turn comes on 28 October, at 19°18′ Libra. From 28 October the matters of your 2nd house, possessions and what you value among them, are read as ready to move forward again, gently at first.
Love, work and money for Virgo in October
Venus begins October in Libra, your 2nd house, and enters Scorpio, your 3rd, on 8 October, turning affection toward how you talk to someone you love, and the small messages that keep a bond alive.
Mars, the planet of effort, moves from Scorpio, your 3rd, into Sagittarius (your 4th) on 15 October, so the drive of the month shifts toward working from home, and the foundations a career quietly stands on.
For money, the Full Moon on 15 October falls in your 8th, Mercury arrives in your 2nd on 16 October and Mercury turns direct in your 2nd on 28 October: the house of what is shared and owed. The tradition would make October a time to review debts, loans, taxes, insurance and inheritance, other people’s money in your life in Aries’s house, and leave the outcome to your own choices.
