Saturn in Aries all year: your 1st house

Saturn in your 1st house is read as a year of self-discipline: responsibilities rest on your shoulders, and you may look and feel more serious, more tested and, by the end, more solid. For Aries that is the greater malefic of the old books standing in the 1st house, and in Aries it stands in the sign of its fall, where the old books say it works with less ease than anywhere.

It turns retrograde on 9 August at 27°52′ Aries and direct on 24 December at 21°01′ Aries, so the second half of the year is read as a review of what the first half built in your 1st house: the body, your appearance and first impressions.

Jupiter in Leo, then Virgo: your 5th and 6th houses

Jupiter begins the year in Leo, your 5th house, retrograde until 13 April, when it turns direct at 16°59′ Leo. Until 26 July, Jupiter in your 5th house is read as a year of joy: romance, creativity and children all have more room, and pleasure is easier to justify.

On 26 July Jupiter enters Virgo, your 6th house, and stays there for the rest of the year. From 26 July, Jupiter in your 6th house is read as more work, and often better work: a growing workload, helpful colleagues and the chance to build healthier habits.

The tradition calls Jupiter the greater benefic and reads its houses as where help and growth come most easily, so for Aries the doors stand in the 5th and then the 6th, with the old warning that Jupiter enlarges whatever it touches, the wanted and the unwanted alike.

Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and the Moon’s nodes

Uranus stays in Gemini, your 3rd house, all year. Uranus in your 3rd house is read as a restless mind: new ideas, sudden news, new technology and changes in the neighborhood.

Neptune stays in Aries, your 1st house, all year. Neptune in your 1st house is read as a softening of the self: more sensitivity, more imagination and edges that blur, which asks for care with your energy.

• 18 July: penumbral lunar eclipse in Capricorn, your 10th house. Read as a Full Moon at the nodes, for Aries it shows the balance between public duty and private life, tilted one way for too long.
• 2 August: total solar eclipse in Leo, your 5th house. Read gently, a fifth-house eclipse asks what wants to be expressed through you, and whether you have been allowing it. Read it for Aries.
• 17 August: penumbral lunar eclipse in Aquarius, your 11th house. Read as a Full Moon at the nodes, for Aries it shows the result of a group effort, a campaign or a long-held hope.

Love in 2027 for Aries

Venus, the lesser benefic, crosses your 5th house of romance (Leo) from 27 July to 20 August, and your 7th house of partnership (Libra) from 13 or 14 September to 8 October. The tradition reads those weeks as Aries’s warmest of the year for courtship and for agreements made in good faith. • 9 February to 3 March: Mercury retrograde from 5°58′ Pisces back to 20°55′ Aquarius, your 12th and 11th houses. For Aries in February, Mercury retrograde in your 12th house is read as a reflective spell: old memories, private thinking and rest that clears the mind.
