New Moon in Capricorn, 7 January: your 11th house
The New Moon is exact at 20:25 UTC on Thursday 7 January, at 17°18′ Capricorn. Counted by whole signs from Pisces, Capricorn is your 11th house, the house of friends, hopes and community.
Astrology reads the New Moon as the time to start small and mean it, and in January the small start belongs to your 11th house, the Good Spirit: an intention about the people you want around you in the years ahead. Set in your 11th house, the January lunation takes its tone from its sign: Capricorn lends it structure, endurance and dry humor.
One way for Pisces to meet it in January: give your time to a cause you believe in, even for one afternoon.
Beyond the Sun sign
Your Sun sign is only part of 2027
A Pisces forecast reads the year by your Sun sign alone. The Road of Ages reads the turning points of your whole life from your own birth date, and shows where you stand on it now.
See the year on your own RoadFull Moon in Leo, 22 January: your 6th house
Friday 22 January brings the Full Moon at 2°14′ Leo, exact at 12:17 UTC, opposite the Sun in Aquarius, and for Pisces it lands in the 6th house, the house of daily work, habits and health routines.
Astrologers treat the Full Moon as the month’s high tide; in January the tide rises in your 6th house, the place the tradition calls Bad Fortune, and it shows what the body has been saying through tiredness, and what it needs you to change. In your 6th house this January, Leo lends it warmth, courage and a little theater. Read as an axis, from your 6th house to your 12th, this January Full Moon runs along the axis of work and rest: the duties of the day and the retreat that restores you.
One way for Pisces to meet it in January: tidy one workspace properly, so that it helps rather than distracts.
Planets changing sign or direction in January
Venus crosses into Sagittarius on 7 January and so into your 10th house. Until 3 February, with the lesser benefic at your Midheaven, the tradition reads a favorable spell for career dealings, especially the diplomatic ones.
Mars stations retrograde in Virgo, your 7th house, beginning a backward loop of 81 days that lasts until 1 April. The turn comes on 10 January, at 10°25′ Virgo, and Mars retrograde in your 7th house is read as old conflicts with a partner or a rival returning to be settled.
Mercury enters Aquarius on 13 January, your 12th house. Until 1 February, with Mercury in the house of hidden things, the tradition reads a quieter spell, better for reflection than for announcements.
On 20 January at 07:30 UTC the Sun crosses into Aquarius, which for Pisces is the 12th house. Until 18 February, the Sun in your 12th house, the month before your birthday, makes a season for rest, retreat and closing chapters.
Love, work and money for Pisces in January
Venus begins January in Scorpio, your 9th house, and enters Sagittarius, your 10th, on 7 January, turning affection toward how a relationship fits beside a career, and the public face of a partnership.
Mars stays in Virgo all month, your 7th house, putting the month’s effort into business partners, clients and the contracts that bind them. The Full Moon on 22 January lands in your 6th, a house the tradition gives to work and health.
For money, no lunation or fast planet changes in your 2nd house (Aries) or your 8th (Libra) in January, so the tradition would put the month’s weight elsewhere and leave Pisces’s budgets to ordinary prudence.
