In every one of the 91 years from 1940 to 2030 the Sun stood in Sagittarius for the whole of December 2, in every time zone on Earth, between 9.4° and 10.8° of the sign at noon UTC, so a December 2 birthday is a Sagittarius birthday whatever the year or the hour.
At noon UTC on December 2 the Sun is in the second decan of Sagittarius in 57 of those years and in the first in 34, so the decan, like the sign at a cusp, turns on the year. The second decan of Sagittarius is a face that belongs to the Moon in the Chaldean order and is read through Aries, ruled by Mars, by triplicity, and in most years the decan runs from December 2 to December 11, and December 2 is its first day.
In most years December 2 is the 11th day of the Sun’s season in Sagittarius, which runs from November 22 to December 21 counted at noon UTC, with 19 days of it still to come. December 2 is the 336th day of a common year and the 337th of a leap year, with 29 days of the year still to come after it.

December 2 birthday personality
The Moon takes the middle decan of Sagittarius in the Chaldean order and Aries lends Mars’s dash by triplicity, so tradition reads a restless, warm-hearted optimism here, quick to set out and quick to forgive. The reflection is whether leaving has become easier than staying.
The 2nd is the 2 unmixed, which numerology reads as the number of the partner and the listener. A birthday on it is said to favour the quiet work of bringing two sides together. Fire and the 2 pull different ways, the blaze toward action and the number toward patience, and the reading finds its strength where enthusiasm learns to wait for a partner.
A question to carry from December 2: who would your hope serve best if it waited, listened and then went in together?
The Sun in Sagittarius and the number 2 are only part of the story: your Moon, your rising sign and the rest of your chart have as much to say, and the tradition offers all this as a mirror, never a verdict.
Birthday number 2
Born on the 2nd, your birthday number is simply 2, the day itself: a 2 vibration supports sensitivity, partnership, diplomacy, and careful listening, with relational intelligence and patience as its gift and over-dependence, passivity, or people-pleasing as its strain.
Your 2027 numbers
For a birthday on December 2 the house method reduces the birth month and the day on their own and adds the Universal Year of 2027, 11 (2 + 0 + 2 + 7 = 11, a master number kept whole), as it stands: December, the 12th month, reduces to 3, the 2nd gives 2, and 3 + 2 + 11 = 16, which reduces to 7, so 2027 is your Personal Year 7. On the way it passes 16, a karmic debt number, read in a year as a lesson to work through rather than as bad luck.
Numerology reads a Personal Year 7 as a year to slow down, reflect and look for deeper understanding. With the Universal Year an 11, the reading treats 2027 as a year of spiritual insight for those who seek it.
Personal Months of 2027, a Personal Year 7: Jan 8 Feb 9 Mar 1 Apr 11 May 3 Jun 4 Jul 5 Aug 6 Sep 7 Oct 8 Nov 9 Dec 1
In 2027 December 2 falls on a Thursday, the day the old reckoning gives to Jupiter, and is a Personal Day 3 (1 + 2 = 3) in a Personal Month 1 (7 + 12 = 19, then 1), while April is a master month 11; the Personal Year itself turns on 1 January, not on the birthday.
