How the calculation works
Add your birth month and birth day to the digits of the current calendar year, then reduce to a single digit. Personal years run 1 through 9 and then restart, so every ninth year rhymes with the one before it.

Do I need my birth time?
No. Personal years are built from your birth month, birth day, and the calendar year. Birth time matters when you cast a complete natal chart.
What is a personal year number?
It is the position you currently occupy in numerology’s repeating 9-year cycle, calculated from your birth month, birth day, and the current calendar year.
When does my personal year change?
The common convention changes it on January 1. Some numerologists run it birthday to birthday; The Great Almanac uses the calendar-year convention for consistency.
