What this tool does

This calculator adds every digit of your birth date and reduces the total to a life path number from 1 to 9, preserving the master numbers 11, 22, and 33.

Your life path number is the single most cited number in numerology: the sum of your full birth date, reduced to a core digit or master number.

How the calculation works

Write your full birth date as digits, add every digit together, then keep reducing the sum until a single digit remains. If the running total lands exactly on 11, 22, or 33, tradition keeps it as a master number instead of reducing further. Someone born on July 14, 1995 adds 1+9+9+5+0+7+1+4 = 36, then 3+6 = 9: a life path 9.

Common questions

Do I need my birth time?

No. The life path is the sum of your birth date’s digits, so the time of day never enters the calculation. Birth time matters for cusp-day Sun signs, rising signs, and a complete natal chart.

What is a life path number?

It is the sum of every digit in your birth date, reduced to a single digit from 1 to 9 or kept as the master numbers 11, 22, or 33. Numerology reads it as the core theme your life keeps returning to.

Why did I get a master number?

If your birth-date digits sum exactly to 11, 22, or 33 at the final reduction, tradition preserves it as a master number: a higher-voltage version of the 2, 4, or 6 path.

Is this calculator really free?

Yes. Use it to find your life-path number, then explore Sacred Numbers to place it beside your personal cycles and current timing.
