The Sun

In every one of the 91 years from 1940 to 2030 the Sun stood in Leo for the whole of August 2, in every time zone on Earth, between 9.3° and 10.7° of the sign at noon UTC, so an August 2 birthday is a Leo birthday whatever the year or the hour.

At noon UTC on August 2 the Sun is in the second decan of Leo in 48 of those years and in the first in 43, so the decan, like the sign at a cusp, turns on the year. The second decan of Leo is a face that belongs to Jupiter in the Chaldean order and is read through Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter, by triplicity, so the two systems agree, and in most years the decan runs from August 2 to August 12, and August 2 is its first day.

In most years August 2 is the 11th day of the Sun’s season in Leo, which runs from July 23 to August 22 counted at noon UTC, with 20 days of it still to come. August 2 is the 214th day of a common year and the 215th of a leap year, with 151 days of the year still to come after it.

August 2 birthday personality

Both systems give the middle of Leo to Jupiter, so tradition reads the sign’s generosity at its widest: the host, the patron, the one who believes in other people out loud. Its caution is the promise made bigger than the purse.

The 2nd is the 2 unmixed, which numerology reads as the number of the partner and the listener. A birthday on it is said to favour the quiet work of bringing two sides together. Fire and the 2 pull different ways, the blaze toward action and the number toward patience, and the reading finds its strength where enthusiasm learns to wait for a partner.

A question to carry from August 2: who would your warmth serve best if it waited, listened and then went in together?

The Sun in Leo and the number 2 are only part of the story: your Moon, your rising sign and the rest of your chart have as much to say, and the tradition offers all this as a mirror, never a verdict.

Birthday number 2

Born on the 2nd, your birthday number is simply 2, the day itself: a 2 vibration supports sensitivity, partnership, diplomacy, and careful listening, with relational intelligence and patience as its gift and over-dependence, passivity, or people-pleasing as its strain.

Your 2027 numbers

For a birthday on August 2 the house method reduces the birth month and the day on their own and adds the Universal Year of 2027, 11 (2 + 0 + 2 + 7 = 11, a master number kept whole), as it stands: August, the 8th month, gives 8, the 2nd gives 2, and 8 + 2 + 11 = 21, which reduces to 3, so 2027 is your Personal Year 3.

A Personal Year 3 is numerology’s social, creative year, a time to write, speak, make and be seen. With 2027 a Universal Year 11 the tradition reads the inspiration as plentiful, and the discipline to finish as the year’s real test.

Personal Months of 2027, a Personal Year 3: Jan 4 Feb 5 Mar 6 Apr 7 May 8 Jun 9 Jul 1 Aug 11 Sep 3 Oct 4 Nov 5 Dec 6

In 2027 August 2 falls on a Monday, the day the old reckoning gives to the Moon, and is a Personal Day 4 (11 + 2 = 13, then 4) in a Personal Month 11 (3 + 8 = 11), while August is a master month 11; the Personal Year itself turns on 1 January, not on the birthday.
