What sets Apex Planet apart
The apex is the planet at the point of a triangle formed by aspects. In a T-Square it is the planet 90 degrees from both ends of an opposition; in a Yod it is the planet 150 degrees from both ends of a sextile. Which aspect meets at the apex therefore changes with the figure, and the apex is always the one planet joined to both of the other two.
- T-Square apex: squares (90) to both planets of the opposition
- Yod apex: quincunxes (150) to both planets of the sextile
- Minor Grand Trine apex: sextiles (60) to both planets of the trine
- Empty point: in a T-Square the sign opposite the apex is the empty corner of a Grand Cross
- Modality: a T-Square usually falls in three signs of one modality: cardinal, fixed or mutable
