What sets Venus Retrograde apart
Venus turns retrograde about once every 19 months (584 days), for roughly 40 days, and each loop repeats the one before it eight years earlier. Five of her cycles take almost exactly eight years, so the places where she turns back trace a five-pointed figure around the zodiac. At the middle of the loop she is lost in the Sun's glare and reappears as the morning star.
