What sets Major Aspect apart
The five major aspects are the conjunction, sextile, square, trine and opposition, at 0, 60, 90, 120 and 180 degrees. The set is called Ptolemaic because Ptolemy's Tetrabiblos names four angled relations by their sign figures, the sextile, square, trine and opposition, and treats the conjunction as a separate case of bodies together. Every other angle is a minor aspect, such as the 30-degree semisextile or the 45-degree semisquare.

Often mistaken for something else: A minor aspect is a smaller division of the circle, not a smaller version of a major one. It is used as a supporting detail when a major aspect already carries the point.
