What sets Birth Location apart
Birth location fixes two numbers, latitude and longitude, and each does a different job. Longitude turns the clock time into the local sky: each 15 degrees of longitude is an hour of local solar time, or four minutes per degree. Latitude sets the tilt of the horizon against the ecliptic, which changes the Ascendant and the size of the houses, so the same instant gives different angles at different latitudes.
