Cancer and the February 2027 annular solar eclipse
For Cancer, the annular solar eclipse of Saturday 6 February 2027 falls in Aquarius, which counted by whole signs from Cancer is your 8th house: the house of shared money, intimacy and deep change. At the north node, an eclipse in the 8th house is read as a deepening: shared money, trust or intimacy asking for a new arrangement, and a willingness to let something be transformed.

The eclipse in your 8th house
The eclipse is greatest at 16:00 UTC on 6 February, with the Sun and the Moon together at 17°37′ Aquarius, the eighth sign counted from Cancer.
For Cancer in February, the eclipse lands in the 8th house, the place the Hellenistic astrologers called the Idle Place: in the old books the house of death and of other people’s goods, in modern practice of shared money, intimacy and deep change.
In love the February eclipse touches intimacy, trust and the shared life two people build with their money and their secrets; at work, investors, commissions, and the money other people place in your hands; and with money, debts, loans, taxes, insurance and inheritance, other people’s money in your life.
The nodes run through Aquarius and Leo this year, so Cancer’s eclipse axis runs from the 8th house to the 2nd, the axis of what is yours and what is shared: earnings and debts, possessions and trust.
On 2 August, 177 days later, the total solar eclipse falls at the other end of that axis, in your 2nd house, and Cancer’s two solar eclipses of 2027 will have spoken from both ends of it.
Cancer’s ruler is the Moon, the body that passes in front of the Sun at a solar eclipse, so the tradition reads the February eclipse as reaching Cancer through its own ruler as well as through the 8th house.

Cancer’s eclipse season
On 20 February, 14 days after the solar eclipse, the penumbral lunar eclipse at 23:13 UTC dims the Moon at 1°58′ Virgo, across Cancer’s 3rd house, the house of words, siblings and short journeys, where the tradition would look for what is ripening or ending.
Astrologers read an eclipse over months rather than on its day, so for Cancer the 8th house stays in the foreground from 6 February until the next eclipse season, which the Almanac’s ephemeris puts in July.

For Cancer around 6 February
A practice for the weeks around the February eclipse: review one shared account, contract or arrangement together with the person it involves.
And a question for Cancer to carry until the next eclipse season: What would deeper trust ask of me?
Common questions
Which house is the February 2027 eclipse in for Cancer?
The 8th, counted by whole signs from Cancer, since Aquarius is the eighth sign counted from Cancer. Your own chart, cast for your birth time, may place 17°37′ Aquarius in a house other than the 8th, and astrologers would read it there as well.
Is the annular solar eclipse good or bad for Cancer?
The tradition does not sort the February eclipse into good or bad for Cancer. It reads your 8th house, the house of shared money, intimacy and deep change, as where a chapter turns this February, and it leaves the outcome to your own choices.
When will Cancer feel the February eclipse?
Astrologers look for an eclipse’s themes over the months that follow it rather than on the day, so for Cancer from 6 February until the eclipses of July, with the 8th house as the place to watch.
