Theme of the DayPreparing the instrument…
Your personal day is arithmetic on your birth date, worked out in your browser and sent nowhere. The day’s theme weighed against your own placements is the other half of this page, and that one is read against the natal chart saved in My Almanac, cast from your birth date, your exact birth time and your birthplace.
No birth time is needed for this number calculation. For your Sun, Moon, rising sign, houses, and aspects, cast your full natal chart.

How the calculation works
Your personal year comes from your birth month and day plus the current year. Add the current month to get your personal month, add today's date and reduce again, and you have your personal day: a number from 1 to 9 that cycles continuously. The same date lands differently for different people - that is the point.
The nine day themes
- Day 1: Begin
- Do: Start the thing you have been circling. Initiative is favored. Avoid: Waiting for permission or perfect conditions.
- Day 2: Cooperate
- Do: Listen, partner, and let timing ripen. Diplomacy wins today. Avoid: Forcing decisions or rushing other people.
- Day 3: Express
- Do: Speak, write, create, and be visible. Words carry further today. Avoid: Scattering energy across ten half-finished things.
- Day 4: Build
- Do: Do the structural work: order, admin, foundations, follow-through. Avoid: Cutting corners or skipping the boring step.
- Day 5: Move
- Do: Change, travel, experiment, and say yes to the unexpected. Avoid: Locking yourself into long commitments today.
- Day 6: Tend
- Do: Home, family, repair, and service. Beauty and care are the work. Avoid: Carrying responsibilities that are not yours to carry.
- Day 7: Reflect
- Do: Study, rest, pray, and go inward. Insight over output. Avoid: Overbooking the day or forcing social energy.
- Day 8: Execute
- Do: Handle money, business, and authority deliberately. Harvest what is ready. Avoid: Careless spending or ego-driven decisions.
- Day 9: Complete
- Do: Finish, release, forgive, and clear the desk. Endings serve you. Avoid: Starting new ventures on a closing day.

Common questions
Do I need my birth time?
No. Personal days reduce calendar digits, so birth time never enters this formula. It does matter for cusp-day Sun signs, rising signs, and precise transits.
What is a personal day number?
It is the daily position in your numerology cycle, reduced from your personal year, the current month, and the current date. It cycles 1 through 9 continuously.
Why is my day different from my friend’s?
The calculation starts from your birth month and day, so the same calendar date lands on a different personal day for each person.
How is this different from Theme of the Day?
This pulse reads the date itself. Theme of the Day adds your birth chart and current transits for a more personal focus.
