The story behind Grounding
Grounding language appears in modern occult practice, energy work, meditation, therapy-adjacent wellness, and somatic self-regulation language.
The spiritual meaning of Grounding
Spiritually, Grounding asks whether the body and present moment are being received as part of wisdom.
Grounding in the Bible
Christian grounding can be reframed as embodied prayer, truth, gratitude, breath, ordinary care, and presence before God.
Why Grounding matters
Grounding matters because it can be a useful calmness metaphor, but it should not become a substitute for medical or mental health care.
